Here is a site that inspired that last blog 24-7 prayer They have a compelling vision and there is nothing like prayer to get my spiritual juices flowing.

Man I want to see people come to Christ so bad. I pray that God would shake us from our comfort and we would be dangerous to the world.

The only thing that will change things is prayer. We have to get to a point where we need God. Not just in a meeting but like the old hymn says "I need thee O I need thee. Every hour I need thee". We must get back to desperation. All of our cell phones, microwaves, cars, and palm pilots have made us feel like gods. Back in the day people needed God. Today we consider him an option. For me Jesus is not an option. He is The Way, The Truth and The Life.
I know I need Him.

Preparing for my message on sexual purity. You wouldn't believe how much sex is in the Bible. Really check out this link And Adam knew Eve: Dictionary of Sex in the BIble. This will be the first in a month long series on the African saints. Stay tuned as I post up the different notes after every Sunday night.

This message has got me inspired to get married and make babies. :)

Recovering from staying up late llast night on Sunset with my friend Essence and it just struck me that friends are gifts that God has given us. I should start treating my "gifts" a little better.

Still trying to get the band together for rehearsal. We play on February 14th and 28th. I am pumped up for another last go round of the Liberal Artists. Although it will be different without the horn section we will still be tight.

Reading the Complete Jewish Bible is totally refreshing. It makes you feel like you are Moses or John the Baptist. It sounds like you would imagine Jesus would sound as he quoted from the Old Testament.

Went to the Focus last night. It is our church's way of connecting with those who want to find out more and be more involved. We ended up talking about this current generation and its overall makeup (hurts, fears, interests).

Now I have to admit it feels kind of strange to not be in church on a Sunday morning. I'm so programmed. So full of religion. I want more relationship. More of Him.

This is why most people don't know Him. Alot of other things get in the way. It's not the "big sins" that get you but the tiny distractions throughout the day that slowly pull you from Him. TV, worries, "ministry" all of these things are not bad if they bring you to Christ but the minute they pull you away from Him they are anathema(cursed)

It's been a long time since I posted but I'm still learning Him. The things that I have ahead of me are driving me closer and closer to HIm. Not to get ooey, gooey feelings but to get Him. Who? Christ. After everything as we know it is destroyed the only thing that will matter is Christ. All of the activities and "churchy " games will not be here. Only Christ. It's hard to fathom that my agenda is not that important to God and the only agenda that matters is Christ. I must decrease so he can increase.

My only purpose in going to Ethiopia is Christ. Christ for Ethiopia and Ethiopia for Christ. And if that means losing everything to gain everything then so be it

On a more natural note: I will upgrade soon so I can post pictures and revamp this whole sight. Maybe rename it.
Seeing Christ changes the way you see everything.

Ok. I guess I have to keep learning this lesson over and over again. No ministry to the Lord. No ministry to people. No ministry to the Lord. No ministry to people. No ministry to the Lord.....Oh no! It's like standards. I'm reverting back to childhood.

Seriously I have actually come to a point in my walk with God that I am not motivated by guilt to spend time with Him but when I miss my time and come back I wonder how could I ever not be in his presence. The good thing about that is His presence is always with me. It's just I value that concentrated, undistracted time better.

The holidays are over. Praise God. I just got back last night from the Impact Conference. It was off the hook. Fred Hammond was off the hook. The speakers were off the hook. It was a real blessing just to be there. In the background of all the public hoopla I was encouraged by many many people to continue with the vision that God has given me for Ethiopia. This trip made my holiday season.
